Ocean County GOP screening committee denies support to incumbent lawmakers.

Ocean County Republicans are shaking up their slate of candidates for the upcoming elections, as two veteran lawmakers face the prospect of losing their spots on the organization line. The party's screening committee has denied party support to seven-term Assemblywoman DiAnne Gove and six-term Assemblyman Greg McGuckin, prompting the recommendation of new candidates to take their place. Stafford Mayor Greg Myhre has been suggested to replace Gove, while Toms River school board member Ashley Lamb and former Brick Councilwoman Ruthanne Scaturro are set to replace McGuckin. However, candidates can still compete at the Ocean County GOP convention next month, and it remains to be seen who will ultimately make it onto the organization line.
